🚀 AutoLibSys Quick Start Guide

Get up and running in 15 minutes!

1 Install WAMP Server (5 minutes)

1.1 Install Visual C++ Redistributable

  1. Download: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
  2. Run as Administrator
  3. Click Install → Close

1.2 Install WAMP

  1. Download WAMP from: sourceforge.net/projects/wampserver
  2. Run as Administrator
  3. Follow wizard (keep all defaults)
  4. Wait for WAMP icon to turn 🟢 GREEN in system tray
1.3 Test WAMP

Open browser → http://localhost
✅ You should see the WAMP homepage

2 Install AutoLibSys (5 minutes)

2.1 Extract Files

  1. Extract autolibsys_v1.zip
  2. Copy the folder to: C:\wamp64\www\autolibsys\

2.2 Run Installer

  1. Open browser: http://localhost/autolibsys/install.php
  2. Database Configuration:
    Host: localhost
    Username: root
    Password: (leave empty)
    Database: autolibsys_library
    → Click Test & Continue
  3. License Key: (if asked)
    Enter: ALS-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    → Click Validate License
  4. Create Admin:
    Fill in your details → Click Complete Installation
2.3 Delete Installer (Security)
Delete: C:\wamp64\www\autolibsys\install.php

3 Login (1 minute)

  1. Go to: http://localhost/autolibsys/login.php
  2. Select Branch: Main Library
  3. Login As: Administrator
  4. Enter your Username & Password
  5. Click Login
✅ Done! You're in the Admin Dashboard!

Troubleshooting

WAMP won't start?
  • Close Skype or other programs using port 80
  • Right-click WAMP → Restart All Services
Can't connect to database?
  • Username: root
  • Password: leave EMPTY
Login failed?
  • Check username/password (case-sensitive)
  • Make sure you selected "Administrator"
  • Select correct branch
